– Earlier this season,
we debuted a brand new game called “Lady Lovers,”
where I face off against other, well-known lady lovers, in questions about other,
well-known lady lovers. [laughs and “ohs”]
And who better to host than a man who has lady love
in his name. Please welcome the host of
this weekend’s Grammy Awards, LL Cool J. [cheers and applause]
[“Going Back to Cali” plays] – Gimme some love,
gimme some love! How you doing?
– Good, how are you? – Good, good, good.
Mwah! [cheers and applause] All right, we’re going to give
away the tickets a little later in the show,
’cause he has two– but this is your fourth year
hosting, right? – Yeah, yeah, this is
my fourth year hosting. I did bring a couple of tickets,
for… [screams and applause]
two lucky people. And, gonna have a lot of fun! Who’s ready to go
to the Grammys? [cheers and applause] It’s gonna be great,
but right now, you know, we’re gonna play a little game,
have some fun, and, you know– You ready to play
“Lady’s Lover” with me? – I am, I am.
– You ready for that? – Yep.
– Okay. You guys ready to play
“Lady’s Lover” with LL Cool J? [really loud
cheers and applause] Please welcome three-time
Grammy nominee, Ed Sheeran! [cheers and applause] [talking inaudibly
during cheers and applause] Welcome, Ed!
Welcome. So guys,
I’m gonna give clues related to a famous lady lover,
of course, all right? The first person
to buzz in and [hits button, but no sound]
correctly name– [laughter] First person to buzz in and
correctly name the lady lover will get a point. Ed and Ellen,
are you ready? – We sure are!
– Are you ready? [laughter]
You sure you’re ready? This lady lover…
[timer music plays] lives in Atlanta. – [buzzes in] Usher? – I was going to say that, too. – You dirty little Ed Sheeran. You saw that thing there
and you’re right! – No, I didn’t see it!
I didn’t see it. – Oh, you saw it, you saw it!
That was pretty good! – All right.
– Wow. [timer music starts]
Okay, next question: This lady lover… got their start
in stand-up comedy, has done a voice in
an animated film, – [buzzes in] It’s not Ellen, is it? [laughter] – Ah, nope. [“wrong” buzzer noise] Is a huge New Orleans Saints
fan. Huge! – Ah, well, uh–
[buzzes in] Wanda Sykes! – You are correct.
– Yeah! [cheers and applause] – [laughing]
[timer music starts] This lady lover has won
two Grammy Awards, is the only one who’ll walk
across the fire for you, wants you to come to
their window? – [buzzes in] Melissa Etheridge. – That’s correct. [cheers and applause]
[timer music starts] This lady lover… got married last year, – [buzzes in] Adam Levine! [laughter] – Yeah.
– Ah ha! [cheers and applause] – Wow.
– Well! Ellen is up, 3-1. [timer music starts]
But, it can be tied up. – I’ll just step back,
’cause it’s so easy for me. [laughter]
– Yeah, yeah. “I had to back up off of there
to sit my cup down.” This lady lover… loves horsies,
[laughs] [neighs like a horse] [laughter]
has blonde hair, is a resident of Shondaland. – Doesn’t like–
– [buzzes in] Portia de Rossi. [cheers and applause] – That is correct.
– That is right. – That is correct.
– 4 to 1. – It is correct–it’s all good
over here, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, for sport,
let’s do one more. – All right, yeah, okay.
[timer music starts] – This lady lover… is on TV, – [buzzes in]
– [laughs] – Is it Ellen? – Yeah. [cheers and applause] Congratulations.
– Thank you. Ellen, you win, 4-2. – You were the best host of
“Lady Lover” ever! Ever!
